What is Trending Messaging?
Trending messages highlights a spike in a product’s popularity. Using real-time data, retailers and brands will showcase which specific products are on trend at any given time.
These messages will be displayed throughout the eCommerce customer journey, from the Product List page (PLP), Product Details Page (PDP), and Cart/Basket page, and usually accompanied by a timed window.
Trending messaging uses the wisdom of the crowd – providing shoppers confidence that their choice is what’s in fashion and trending at that exact moment. Trending messaging, and other social proof messaging, should be an essential element of retailers and brand’s strategy to improve eCommerce conversion rates.
