The Challenge

Castore wanted to drive conversion across its own brand range and increase Average Order Value (AOV). 

Impressed by the success of Taggstar’s social proof messaging for other well-known brands, Castore wanted to see how it might work for its own customers and decided to sign up to test it via Taggstar’s Social Proof Pro Plan. The recently launched product offers a quick, easy and cost-effective version of Taggstar’s full-featured enterprise product and is perfect for specialty brands and retailers growing online.  

The Results

During peak trading, speed is of the essence if a brand is to maximise its conversion opportunities. It’s a competitive period that demands swift responses. After signing a contract with Taggstar, Castore was live with social proof messaging only three weeks later. 

The initial proof-of-concept test ran on its UK website for 15 days from 20th November to 4th December 2025 on the PDP and mini cart. The 15-day test delivered a 1.51% uplift in conversion rate and generated 335 additional orders and £33,271 in incremental revenue. Over a full year, implementing social proof messaging is projected to deliver an annual ROI of 1,634%.

The Future

Castore and Taggstar now plan to work together to optimise the current social proof messaging experience by introducing different designs to see what works best for its customers. Icons will also be introduced. 

Social proof messaging will also be expanded to the PLP to support customer decision-making throughout the buying funnel.
