Sportswear brand Castore was founded in Liverpool in 2016 by brothers Tom and Phil Beahon, both former athletes. Frustrated by the lack of high-quality men’s sportswear available in the UK, they wanted to produce a range that performed as well as it looked.
Today, Castore’s hybrid apparel ranges, which cover sports from rugby to running, are all expertly engineered to deliver athlete-grade performance for its customers. Castore supports this commitment to performance by partnering with several major sports teams, providing official collections for England Rugby, Rangers Football Club and Harlequins Rugby.
Castore operates both online and offline, with more than 20 standalone stores in the UK and two in the Netherlands. It is targeting aggressive expansion following the securing of a £90m banking facility in May 2026. This will be used to drive further retail openings across the UK and international expansion into the Middle East and Asia as it seeks to deliver £300m in sales this year.
Castore’s investment plans also include enhancing its digital infrastructure and analytics capabilities.
