That equates to an average home improvement spend of around<a href=\"https:\/\/www.statista.com\/statistics\/809304\/average-annual-home-improvement-spend-us\/\"> $8,000 per household<\/a>, whether that\u2019s landscaping the back yard or painting a room.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Retailers are certainly seeing sales booming, with Home Depot for example reporting sales up by almost 20% to<a href=\"https:\/\/ir.homedepot.com\/news-releases\/2021\/02-23-2021-110106097\"> $132.1 billion<\/a>.
